This past Monday the 20th marked the Twentieth Anniversary of my hitting Parris Island's Yellow Footprints. Not wanting the occasion to simply pass uncelebrated, I loaded up my old camper and headed south to P.I. I spent the day walking around seeing the sights and met an Active Duty friend for supper. I became friends with an MP who showed me an out-of-the-way spot to hide my camper overnight. Thank you, LCpl. I awoke early the following morning, drove back over to the Grinder, and ran from mainside to the Rifle Range and back, just like old times. In spite of my kind invitations, Joe refused to accompany me for my PT session. (Sigh...) ;D Joe met me at PI and we went to the Hard Corps Cafe at MCAS Beaufort for lunch, Joe's treat. The charmin' devil. ;D We then visited the Crash Crew and spent an hour or so talking with a few of the Marines there. We didn't know anyone there, but during the course of the conversation, we discovered that we knew many of the same people. Small Corps... Joe and I went back to his place, where I spent an enjoyable afternoon in his den, checking out the memorabilia he collected throughout his career. Thank you again for your hospitality, Joe, and I'm looking forward to seeing you again at Quantico. Semper Fi!...Stretch Joe Donnelly, Cpl. Strebber, Eric Frey
