The Last Alarm has rung for a fellow Crash Crew Man Peter Abbott. He past away A few days ago losing his battle against cancer. He will be missed by many both near and far. I ask all Aviation Crash, Fire and Rescue Men to join me in prayer For Pete Abbott and also his wife Patrica and family.

EXETER - Peter J. Abbott, 68, of Sherwood Forest, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Vermont, the son of the late James and Madeline (Fontaine) Abbott. He had resided in Exeter since 1975, wintering in Naples, Fla.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving for 20 years as a member of a Crash Crew unit trained to extinguish aircraft fires and perform rescue missions. He became a crash crew instructor at Millington, TN and served in many locations including Okinawa and Japan.
He enjoyed nature and animals.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia (Skillen) Abbott of Exeter; two sons, Stephen Abbott of Exeter and Mark Abbott of Brentwood; five grandchildren; and many cousins.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 30, at 1 p.m. in Green Gate Banquet Hall, Court Street, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the N.H. SPCA, P.O. Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885-0196.
Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter.
