USAF P-2. When I was at K-Bay in the 80's, one of these (a yellow one) came to our CFR rodeo from Hickam AFB near Honolulu. Oshkosh P-19A, today's USMC Crash Crew mainstay-- USAF P-15. I saw one of these at Hickam AFB back in the day. BIG sucker... P-4. Drove one of these as a student at Memphis. There is one for sale in Winder, Ga.

Oshkosh M-1000. There were a couple of these (yellow) at K-Bay in the 70's.

MB-5's. Photos from Bill Hogston's website. Thanks, Hoghead. We still had one of these at K-Bay when I was there. It was finally deadlined in late '87. I guess I'm one of the last to sit Hotspot in one of these.

That's the only new-ish Marine crash truck I've seen in my 20 years in the business.
I've seen new-looking TAUs on HMWVees, and there is a light rescue / extrication vehicle based on a ton-and-a-half pickup chassis. I think it's a P-10, but I'm not sure. We had one at New River during Desert Storm, but I was a P-19 crew chief at the time, and as it was "above my paygrade", didn't became familiar with the new "pins" truck.
There may still be a P-4 or two floating around in various stages of repair, but when USMC crash trucks are deadlined, they seem to be replaced with P-19A's.
Even the P-19s are showing their age now. They were brand-new when I first got to CFR, but at the 2003 reunion at Cherry Point, one of the SNCOs there told me most of their trucks had just come back from being refurbished.
When we were getting P-19s at K-Bay, we were jumping for joy that the Station trucks were flat olive-drab, and the MAG (deployable) trucks were camouflaged. NO MORE WAXING!
But the refurbished ones at Cherry Point were shiny lime yellow... wax on, wax off.

When I left Millington in 72, MB-5 was only a few years old. It's a little hard think that they are now old and dead line. Time sure goes by fast.................LarryK

Hate to rain on your parade, the first P-19 pic youve got on this thread is just a plain old P-19 not a P-19A. The regular version has no roof hatch, and no structural panel. The Navy uses them. The picture with all the girls is the A-model. There is also a B-model that the Air Force uses.
Ill try to get pics of some of our ARFF rigs here at Pax River.
The Corps is using the A/S32 P-19 A as the primary firefighting vehicle, but are also using P-26 5,000 gallon tankers and the P-10 rescue vans. The P-10s are coming under heavy modifications now at alot of MCAS's. Many are opting to have a heavy rescue or some configuration that more suits their needs.
