Thanks for reply. A search on ( peoplefind) I think it was showed a W>C>Young with past addresses in the quantico triangle area as well as N.C., listing his age at 45-witch seems to be to be off couple years (47 or 48). So theres another out there with a matching name.

All,
Mr.Young retired in 1974 at Bogue Field MAG 14, NC. He was a W-2 and I believe reverted back to Capt. whice is the rank he had in Nam after retirement. Also same year Top Kane retired. I know because it took a bunch of us to put them in the water and we lost. I have to say I am proud to have served with Mr. Young and Top Kane in Japan and Bogue Field.

In Vietnam, Bill was promoted to Master Sergeant, and later that same day commissioned a 2nd Lt. He was a 1st Lt by the time he left VN. It was a battlefield commission, so when he rotated back to the States his rank was reduced to a CWO. I guess you knew him as a CWO2 at Beautiful Bogue.
For retirement and honors purposes, he is a 1st Lt, his highest wartime rank.

Thread started to see if Bill Young was in Quantico in 1983. It seems to not be the same Young. Dad42boys do you remember cpl. Young. seems like he should have been there when you were. I Think he did cpr training for all sections. Was active with fire dept off base. I believe they loaded the dummy for cpr. training.
