Well I went to the VA today. Does anyone know how to weave baskets? ? They said something about learning how. Something about being a basket case. They said they could help me learn. Got to go back next week again. Hell I might have a new hobby before long. Hope they teach me how to make one out of bamboo. Terry

Terry & Swanny, At first,I thought-OK.the VA has got him during some kind physical or occupational therapy? Then the statement about "being a basket case"? kinda made it a spoof! Then with the statement about having to go back to see them next week?? Again, not sure? When ,I went to the Univ. of Miami -in 1955-56- there the VA wanted us to take up & learn-"Underwater Basket weaving"? I failed on the Under water part? I am not a great water person? Good luck ,w/your dealings w/the VA? Many have no problems;others a nightmare-take your pick !!-RichW/49

Rich, So far it's been ok. Maybe they are worried that I might start unraveling. My wife thinks my weave is not strung to tight.

Terry & Swanny, I made fun of the VA & those trying to help? The DAV Chapter that I belonged to California-found & helped Veterans wherever they could? We had a 'Van' in which those who needed transport could receive it? It went five days a week to a Small VA Hospital in Sepulveda & the 'Main'VA Hospital in Los Angeles? The amount of Veterans varied depending on appointments? Something that has been tried over what the last 30 to 35 years-"Walk-In-Door Front Clinics. For this type of service ,one could walk in & get a start on future needs? As you know, many would never take advantage of the Veterans Administration Medical Services? Most service organizations have someone that is to help the veteran? Disabled American Veterans, American Legion,VFW, AmVets, & Jewish War Veterans. However, one hears that in different parts of the country some of these groups work out better there? Don't get me wrong ,I am not pushing the VA? In fact now that I am in Georgia, I should do something here myself ?-Semper Fi-Brothers & Sisters/The Crazy Old Man/RichW/49

I don't care if they are only 25 watt First my oil pump takes a crap on me now my bulb is not as bright as I as thought. Hell may be it's the cold. Terry

Terry , After I signed off, I remembered -You would be better going down to San Diego or further down into the 'Baja'? That way you can, 'Warm up a little'? I say this because of where you live? Or you can always go down to the US Virgin Islands;arriving in St.Thomas & then going on over for the beaches on St.John? You also can fly over to St. Croix, & see the 'Rum Factory'? You can fly to either St.Thomas/St.Croix or take a Cruise out of Miami( Port Everglades) or San Juan,Puerto Rico to St. Thomas & Other Caribbean Islands? No I'm not a Travel Agent or Tour Director? My best-Rich

Dale, Rich, Great advice but I really do love cold weather. Hot and humid weather makes me sick. Dale some day I will make a trip out west, but first I need some new bulbs before I short out and blow a fuse. He walks into a dimly lit room .......................... and gets lost in his own fog.

Terry, I would have not suggested 'Florida or the Caribbean',if you get hit with the HUMIDITY?? Swanny's idea of Southern California might be better? Of course that is when you feel up to it? Hey,don't you dare short out or blow a fuse?? My best-Rich
