I just got home from California last night... 6800 miles in five weeks in my ten-year-old Jeep.
Dale, the Miramar Reunion was top-notch! You, Dick, and Rich did an outstanding job at putting it all together. Great venue at the O Club, delicious food, and a fine afternoon with the Active-Duty guys at the Crash Crew.
Well done, my friend, and thank you.

Hello to all and hoping that everyone is well? I was unable to attend the reunion in California due to some family medical issues with my daughter. She is doing fine now and we hope all is taken care of? My question is when will we find out where the next reunion will be held? I was curious and hadn't seen anything on the board? In closing I wish everyone with medical issues well and my condolences to those who have lost someone.

I asked Oscar about it at Miramar and he said that as of the end of August, Bill hadn't gotten enough of the ballots back... he only had six, and didn't think the location should be decided by just six people. So if anybody out there in Cyberland hasn't sent in your 2011 AFFR Location ballot, fire it off to Bill young as soon as you can.

He's looking forward to next year's reunion~I talked to alot of brother's at the reunion and quite a few did not receive a ballot or newsletter~We all agreed to send Bill Young your 3 choices for the next one~Just make up your own ballot and send it to Bill~His address is in the roster,if you don't have it let me know~Semper Fi.....Dale

1960 to 1964 MOS 6461. just wanted to say hi to all you guys that did the time on the flight line, hot spots and training fires. Its been many moons ago for me but that will not stop the memories. Simply loved all the aircraft and the men that flew them, been to several Blue Angles air shows and cant tell you how good it feels just hearing the sounds of them and the goose bumps I get thinking back of when I heard the same, maybe on the hot spot or standing by for a high turn up area. Now I would not say I love the smell of burning napalm in the morning but I can still smell JP4 lit or in a drum. Semper Fi!
