I went to Memphis in 67 and was a 7051 then so maybe it was 1967 they made CrashCrew 7051. Remember L&R also had the 7000 MOS's as well. How many of you Marines went to Treasure Island and got your 8811 structural MOS? When we were in MCAF/MCAS Tustin we sent 4 people to each class in Treasure Island.

I was in Mag-12 and we lived on the old field Crash Crew. there were 3 regular hoochs. When I got there they had just removed supply from the old green hooch next to the truck masters shed. We didn't have nothing not even a cot. We built our racks from rocket boxes. I'm working on getting my slides made to my computer. I've got pictures of Mamphis Crash Crew school even the barracks and bunchs of pictures of ChuLai. I've got a picture of Cpl Ritter on the refurbished MB-1 that became 42#

Got pictures of us putting out those nasty smudge pots. i remember having to fill them and set them out and collect them in the morning. I believe my slides show us using a M-116 pulling the cart. We also set them out on the big field a few times due to power failure.

If I can't get them into my computer I'll get a hand held projector. I'm going to buy the machine that converts them into files. Can anyone forget Gunny Wasano. I remember his greeting to us on our first day. "I'm Gunny Wasano and I hate Howies."

Just returned from the reunion last night~I believe it was a very successful one~Everyone that I have attended, since 2003 I've had the joy of reuniting with a brother from 67through 69!! this year it was Wayne Anderson! Crash Crew received us with great enthusiasm and we were treated to another demo of their use of the P19 and a tour of their great facility! Then they cooked a great BarBQ for us!The food and service at the O club was fantastic! If you missed any of these reunions you should make a point of attending the next one! Semper Fi!......Dale
