Eric and AFFR Board Members, How about considering a Phil Wipperman Award at our reunions to honor some of our members if they show the kind of dedication and drive that phil had? I believe we already have a Top Kane award, but I believe phil truley showed his dedication and loyalty that went over the top in his finding and locating fellow crashcrew members. So please consider this as a topic of disscussion at your next board meeting. Thanks and Semper Fi!....Dale

I was there at Iwakuni for a short time in 66. I was asst section leader, Gysgt Brown was the section leader. I found out in later yrs that the guys all thought that I was CID, which I wasnt. Does any of this help u any in remembering me. But ya know its been 41 yrs ago now.

I think the "Phil Wipperman Award" is an outstanding idea. I feel that this should be put to "all" members and have them vote on it. I can think of no one else that has contributated more to the AFFR than Phil. There definately should be some award for the work Phil did for all of us.

Dale, Joe, I will third the motion. Most of us would have never have spoken, let alone had a reunion, with out the hard work Phil did.
