Follow-on/Check-In: On one of my posts,we all become by time a member of the 'Old Corps'? I thought those who served durning WW II, (1941-1945) & North China (1945-1949)were my 'Old Timers' & were in that phase of USMC life. Life meaning ,everything to do with the 'Corps' activity, training, policy & personnel. I was caught in 'Change Period' in 1949 it was still WW II & Korea. Remember, in 1955-you had the 1st Marine Aviation deployed & working in French Indo China-This started the next change-RichW/43- Next came all the changes for 'Vietnam'-which the 'Bulk'of you know & have experienced.

On my last few posts,Here are some adds- MC Avn. in year 2032- Forgot the AV-8B 'Harrier' ,which sits between both types of operations! On my "Justice"rant- I served under Both types of authority- 1. 'Rocks & Shoals & 2. Uniformed Code of Military Justice-(UCMJ)-we had # 1 explained to us better than # 2? Any guess ,Why? need bigger space?-RichW/43-Will continue on next writing?

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I just returned from visiting Rosemary in Lackawana,New York. Considering everything she went through with Phils Death,She is hanging in! We shed many tears and laughter together! She is very thankful and she says "Blessed" to have had 27 years with "Wipperman"! She took Peter and I to Niagra Falls and took us to many of Her and Phils Hotspots! I even got to enjoy some snowfall! She said the reason I could enjoy it was because I was flying back to sunny California on Monday and did not have to put up with it for 4 or 5 months! She asked me to pass on to all of you AFFR brothers and sisters her heartfelt thanks for your Prayers, cards and calls! SO THANK YOU!! and please keep her in your thoughts and prayers again as she approachs this holiday season without Phil for the first time in 27 years! God Bless you all and SEMPER FI!!.....Dale

Check-In: To JoeD,LarryK & Stretch;plus the other members! Since,I am in a retired status-I travel alot! This will be my last message, until I get back on 12/16. I am going back to St. Thomas.USVI. In addition to vacation time;I will be trying to find Historic Information on when I was there in a deployment in 1950-51? We had 2 Squadrons of F4U-4B's ,'Corsairs' & a bunch of WW II & North China 'Reserve Pilots. They were there to train before going aboard 'Carriers", & go fight the Korean War. I have obtained some information before & I hope to finalize the 'Total Draft';there this time & then publish! It takes longer than I planned for?-RichW/43
