Hay I have been watching this board for several years and this has got to be the quietus I have ever seen. We need some kind of topic to fire people up to talk? I know everything in the world isn't great so what can we talk about and not about smug pot duty or wheel watch because that sucks.

Eh, it gets kinda quiet sometimes.
That's usually when I stop changing my socks, just to hear Joe complain.

We have tried to get everyone to use this site but there are very few that do. I don't know how many members we have. Eric could answer that one. Some are very busy and I understand that. I tryed to get some talk going about the Blue Angel that crashed a short distance from my home. They should be releasing some info on what caused it pretty soon. Semper Fi Joe D.

We had 168 members who paid dues last year. There are a couple dozen more who are still in the loop and receiving newsletters (we're not going to drop a member just for missing a year or two). There are 115 resistered users Bill W has listed for this site, but many of them never make the first post... dogtrack.proboards26.com/index.cgi?action=membersI've had a few friends register here, but none of them have ever posted, except a couple in the Guest Book. I guess some people just aren't into the internet thang, and they're not comfortable with posting messages on forums. If they'd rather just read, that's cool too. I think it's a great thing. The regulars here on this site are quite friendly with each other, even though we haven't all met. But when I do meet somebody from here, it's a special treat, because we already (kind of) know each other.

Just checking in as I was in Washington DC last week with my Dad who is 83 and a D-Day survivor. He was really impressed with the WW2 Memorial and even though he served in the Army he was really impressed with the Marine Corp Museum! So was I! A visit to the museum is worth a trip to DC all by itself. We went to the Command post Pub in Quantico an had a couple of cold ones! All in all a very memorable trip with my Dad,and I found my brick on the sidewalk at semper fi Park. I wish a very Happy and safe Memorial Day to everyone!....Swanny

Rob Murphy checkin in for muster, standing tall, my nicknames were, meat neck, no-neck, and nimir. I was in crash crew from "88-94" MCAS Eltoro "89-92" and MCAF Quantico "92-94". Desert Shield/ Desert Storm "90-91" with MWSS-373 @ Shek Isa, Bahrain and MWSS-373 @ Ras Al Ghar, Saudi Arabia. Semper Fi to all my comrades from the Gulf. We were stationed with USAF Crash Crew along with local Bahrainians all under our CWO's comand, awesome show of joint forces working together under one roof. We also worked with British soldiers in Ras Al Ghar, Saudi Arabia. I was able to visit MCAF Quantico last year and it has deffinitely changed since 94. Nice new fancy Crash Crew Building on opposite side of runway by the ceasnas, awesome. I was also amazed at the new base housing when you come into the front gate, big upgrade from the old housing projects. Have a wonderful summer, hope to reunite with all those Desert Storm Crispy Critters some time soon........Rob M
