Happy New Year..... Looks like a lot of folks are reading the Boards. I wish they would just stopp and say hi. Or if you have any questions feel free to ask. If someone don't have an answer we'll find one. There's a few old timers who view the Boards (Hi Joe P and Joe D) You can also start a new posting on the Boards. We have a reunion coming up also. Hope to see a few of you there.

Hello All...Bob Baxter here..just wanted to say great sight.brought back memories..lets see dec.69.dec-73..stationed Kaneohe bay 70-71..Iwa japan.71-72..Nam Phong Thi. 72..el toro 73..had a nack for being in the right place at the right time..while in Kaneohe bay I was on wheels watch..use to do sit ups and push ups..to stay awake..I looked up just in time to see a f-4..50 ft off the deck with wheels UP..didnt have time to hit the meat balls..went righr to the flares that shoot off all over the field...the f-4 hit his after burners..his ass just made it back up....i got to meet everyone xo..co..got 2 bottles of jack..from pilot and co pilot..and L/cpl..with a meritorious mast..In japan i was the heavy equipment opp...By far my best duty station was Nam Phong...We had a c-141 hit a comunication van...I got another meritorious mast..and cpl. ..while stationed at el toro we had a a-6 i think..crash on landing..just before i got out..Was an exciting 4 years..Well i just wanted to say hello...didnt mean to carry on so... Good Morning All; Just wanted to let those coming to the reunion that there is a great eating place outside the main gate of Quantico, it's called the Globe & Anchor. Been there for years and known to all Marines. Great food. Makes you feel just like an "old timer", or as in my case "old fart.' Just thought you might like to know. Semper Fi
