For those of you that know Buck Dobson, I contacted him about the reunion at Cherry Point and he said that he probably won't be able to attend this year. Buck was my OIC at New River in the mid sixties and then again in the early seventies at Futema. Anyway I thought I'd pass this info on.

Joe, I read your post just a few minutes ago and immediately called and successfully confirmed my reservation.
They're in the middle of the pending sale (to Quality Inn) and answered the phone as "Havelock Inn", as they're sort of in limbo right now.
But that is the correct number in my initial post... (252)444-1111

Hidy ho Eric I was wondering if there is anything going on Thursday evening the 25th, and if there was anything going on at the Crash Crew? My news letters haven't been getting to me but I haven't really worried about it as I have been picking up most news from the web sight. If you you could enlighten me to any information you have I would appreciate it. I also haven't seen anything on Phil, how is he doing? Any way I am looking forwrd to the reunion take care and Semper Fi. Mike Brumfield

Phil had surgery a little over a week ago, and won't be able to make it to the reunion.
As far as the goings-on on Thursday the 25th, there's nothing formal or structured planned... just getting together with buds as they trickle into town.
The Crash Crew will be hosting an open house, demonstration, and cook-out Saturday morning and afternoon. Our formal reunion supper will be Saturday evening.
E-mail me your mailing address, so I can confirm (or deny) that it's what we have on file...

Got home last night from the reunion and I really enjoyed it. Seen a couple of people I hadn't seen in several years, met some people I had never know and made some lasting memories. It was sad that Phil Wipperman couldn't be there and even worse to hear he was in failing health. It makes you realize how close Marines and this brother hood is and I am proud to be associated with it. We need to keep the Wipperman family in our prayers. I hope everyone made it back safe and I look forward to the next reunion.
